Money Back

Refund Policy

When a subscription is returned, when it is not, and how long it takes. Written plainly, because nobody should have to guess about their own money.

If your application is not approved

The whole subscription is returned. You do not have to ask — the association initiates it once the decision is made, to the same account or card the payment came from.

If your application is approved

The subscription is not refundable. It has by then been taken into the society's accounts for the year and is part of what the association works with.

This is the ordinary case, and it is why the form tells you about the approval step before you pay rather than after.

If you paid twice, or paid the wrong amount

Duplicate payments are returned in full. If you were charged more than the subscription shown, the difference is returned.

Write to info@ramaasociety.org with the date and the reference number of the payment. If you paid by bank transfer, the UTR is enough.

If a payment failed but the money left your account

This is usually the gateway holding the amount, and banks release it on their own within five to seven working days. If it has not come back after that, tell the association and it will be taken up with Razorpay directly.

No membership is created for a payment that did not reach the association, so nothing is owed either way.

How long a refund takes

The association starts the refund within seven working days of agreeing to it. After that it is with the bank — an online payment usually shows in five to ten working days, and a bank transfer in about the same.

How to ask

Email info@ramaasociety.org from the address on your membership, with the payment date, the amount, and the reference or UTR number. You will get a reply confirming what will happen and by when.

Cancelling a membership

You can stop being a member at any time by writing to the Secretary. Subscriptions already paid are not returned, and a yearly membership simply runs to the end of its year rather than being cut short.

This page is written to say what the association actually does. If something on the site changes and this page has not caught up, the association would rather be told — write to us.
